VOTE NOW

The Green Party of Connecticut will elect its leaders on April 30th.  We are asking you to support a new approach to leadership by voting for a NEW TEAM.
THE NEW TEAM

Local Green Party Leaders from across the State have joined together to form a team, committed to the growth of the Connecticut's Green Party. Our plan includes:

ANNUAL BUDGET
A plan that lists our goals for the year, outlines what we will do to reach those goals and what it will cost.

ESTABLISH TRANSPARENT PROCEDURES
Establish procedures based on our by-laws under which the Party can operate to ensure that everyone will have an equal voice in the Party.

INCREASED VISIBILITY
Use modern media techniques to build awareness of Green issues. Establish a regular schedule of press releases, blogs and social media comments. Coordinate local chapter visibility efforts and support them with research and production assistance.

TARGETED ELECTIONS
Provide research to determine which electoral districts have the most potential for Green Party success and target just a few candidates for recruitment, training and monetary support.  A Green Party endorsement must not be an empty promise.

INTERACT WITH REGISTERED GREENS
Contact every registered Green at least once a year to see what they are thinking and what issues concern them.

These proposals have been suggested to the current leadership in the past but they have never been implemented. To accomplish these goals, we need your support for our entire team so that we can implement our vision. With your help, Connecticut's Green Party can become an even stronger force for environmental and social justice.

THE CANDIDATES

Ken Krayeski - Co-Chair

In 2010, I ran for Congress in Connecticut's 1st District, as a Green Party Candidate. During my campaign I raised more than $10,000 in two months. I debated other candidates and held two rallies. I garnered one percent of the vote in my district. My statewide name recognition and youthful energy will aid in building the CTGP infrastructure, campaign chest and voter rolls.

Jerry Martin - Co-Chair

I am a lifelong political activist who retired in 2003 after 17 years as a US Congressional Aide. My experience includes leadership positions in Democratic campaigns for local, state and federal offices. Ralph Nader's first Green campaign convinced me to join the Green Party and I have been actively involved ever since. I am currently a Co-Chair of the New Haven Green Party Chapter. I believe my administrative experience will be a great asset as the Co-Chair of the State Green Party.

Ronna Stuller - Co-Chair

An active Green Party member since 2004, I was New London Chair from 2007 - 2009, when I was elected to the New London Board of Education. I am also a producer/host of our public access program "Thinking Green."  I am running for Co-Chair of the State Green Party because I believe that the Green Party offers a much needed alternative to the shortsighted, corporate friendly policies of the major parties, and I would like to build the State Green Party into an effective political force for positive change.

Patrician Kane - Secretary

In my capacity as an active Green Party member, I most recently worked as the Campaign Manager for Allan Brison, a former Green Party Alderman in New Haven.  I am an attorney who also works as a mediator, I am a graduate of the Women's Campaign School at Yale and I have served in local government. My priority is working hard to return the Green Party to its environmental base.
